Individuals who are interested in earning an MBA degree, but believe that they are too busy to take on a full course load, could benefit from enrolling in a part-time program.

One example is George Fox University (GFU), which recently announced that the application deadline for its part-time MBA program is getting closer. Paperwork will be accepted only until December 1st of this year for the spring semester.

GFU provides classes on one night during each week as well as on one Saturday per month.

Working professionals who would like to enhance their managerial and leadership skills are among the intended enrollees. These individuals will learn about communications, ethics and social responsibilities that pertain to the business industry. The curriculum also allows students to participate in a community consulting project.

Professionals who are enrolled in the part-time MBA program will also gain international experience. A week-long study abroad trip gives students a firsthand look at how business is conducted overseas.

The option to add a concentration in one of three areas is also provided. These include in finance, strategic human resource management or organizational strategy.

Obtaining a similar MBA degree could help individuals earn a higher salary. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, professionals who hold a master's could make twice as much each week compared to those without any college experience.
