Partially online MBA programs grow more popular

In an effort to remain competitive in the difficult job market, many professionals are choosing to enroll in MBA programs at campus-based or online schools. Consequently, many of these institutions are beginning to cater their offerings to the busy schedules of working students.

In fact, many business schools are beginning to see hybrid programs - which integrate classroom-based study and online courses - as a beneficial addition, The Wall Street Journal reports.

While creating an online degree program does require an initial investment from schools and professors, these courses of study eventually allow administrators and teachers to take a more hands-off approach. In turn, they are able to provide students with the same quality education that is offered in their classrooms without stretching themselves too thin.

These programs can also help business schools boost their revenue, as they are designed with busy students in mind. Hybrid MBA candidates can work toward a degree without spending extra money on transportation or taking time away from their jobs and families. As a result, these programs are growing more popular among the growing population of working students, according to the news source.

Masters degree holders can earn thousands of dollars more each week than professionals who hold a bachelors degrees, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
