Online MBA program caters to executive-level professionals

Although experience plays an integral role in an individual's professional development, continuing education can give businessmen and women the push they will need to rise to the executive level.

Fortunately, there are many campus-based and online masters programs that are intended to help high-level professionals update their skills while they continue their work.

For instance, the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) recently launched an executive MBA program that aims to help professionals hone their managerial skills and increase their impact on their employer as a whole.

The curriculum will examine the challenges that businesses across the globe face in today's marketplace as well as some obstacles that are on the horizon. In addition to online courses, the 60 members of the inaugural class will be required to participate in four eight-day learning modules on the MIT campus.

Donald Lessard, the executive MBA's faculty director, said "the program design will provide students with an extraordinary platform for growth by learning because they are working."

August 15 is the deadline for qualified degree seekers to submit their resumes, and the first cohort will begin taking classes in October.
