Online degree candidates who are able to add communication seminars to their educational endeavors may increase their earning potential.

Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, recently said that students in campus-based or online MBA programs could increase their value by 50 percent or approximately $500,000 by enhancing their communication skills.

As a result, business students and professionals may want to consider advancing their education through online courses, which may leave time in their schedules for communications training programs such as those offered by the Bell Leadership Institute.

The executive education provider has opened enrollment for its new workshops, which are titled Advanced Communication: Mastering the Seven Essential Skills of Effective Communication.

At these seminars, which will be held in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, participants will learn communication strategies, such as listening skills, that are intended to help their coworkers and clients "feel more motivated, inspired and eager to solve problems and produce good results," said Gerald D. Bell, founder and CEO of the institute.

Degree seekers who choose to enroll in online colleges with flexible scheduling options may be able to travel to similar conferences and boost their career prospects.
