Online degree programs may prepare professionals for business careers at top public relations firms

An online education may help working professionals enhance their qualifications in order to land jobs at top public relations firms, such as the MWW Group.

The New Jersey-based company received PR News's One of the Best Places to Work in Public Relations Platinum PR Award.

PR News compiled its annual list using data from a nationwide survey of employees of global, mid-size and boutique PR agencies. Respondents were asked to rate their employers on several issues, including transparent communication, career growth potential, company incentives, career training opportunities, flexible working hours and volunteer days.

Michael W. Kempner, president and CEO of the firm, said the award is a "testament to [the company's] commitment to [its] people" that results in "a positive and vibrant workplace where [its] staff can grow."

The MWW group was selected due to several incentive programs offered to its associates, such as environmental initiatives, learning and development programs, employee-run meetings as well as a relaxed dress code.

Enrolling in an online masters program may help professionals gain marketable skills to help them compete for positions at highly rated companies.
