Business students and professionals can benefit from outreach programs offered by campus-based and online universities, such as those recently developed by the University of Miami School of Business Administration.

The school recently formed an Entrepreneurship Program Advisory Board to foster collaboration and awareness between its business programs and the global entrepreneurship community. The board will also work on behalf of the school to implement new efforts, including an on-campus center for entrepreneurship.

Last week, school officials inducted artist and entrepreneur Romero Britto onto the board.

Britto said he joined the organization to use his experience to help the business school "build upon its existing entrepreneurship programs while it explores new initiatives and strengthens its relationships with the wider entrepreneurial community."

In addition to business degree programs, the school currently offers consulting services, small business immersion programs and an annual business plan competition.

As the offerings of business schools continue to expand, students and working adults wishing to start their own businesses may take advantage of such opportunities by enrolling in on-campus or online degree programs.
