Online colleges may foster better communication between students, professors
Students who are seeking clear feedback from their professors may consider enrolling in online degree programs, such as those offered by Baker College.
The Michigan-based school's Center for Graduate Studies has announced a partnership with Waypoint Outcomes, a technology company, to improve its academic programs and services for students.
Using the company's web-based assessment and analysis technologies, school officials will work to improve student communication initiatives and encourage more critical thinking in its classroom-based and online courses.
These tools will help professors provide higher quality feedback, which will allow degree candidates to better track their progress and determine which areas of their studies require additional focus.
In turn, instructors will be able to develop closer relationships with their students and create a more personalized curriculum.
Jill Langen, dean of the school's graduate business department, said the partnership is intended to "set the standard for measuring student success in our MBA program."
Those who wish to enhance their learning experience may want to enroll in online universities that provide similar feedback services to degree candidates.
