New online MBA program launched to benefit working professionals
While many working adults worry that their educational qualifications may not be enough to help them compete in the cutthroat job market, they may be more concerned with holding on to their current job than earning a higher degree. Fortunately, many campus-based and online colleges are launching programs that will help these individuals earn a degree while they continue to work.
For example, Ohio University recently announced that its Professional MBA program has been redesigned to cater to students who work full-time, the Herald-Dispatch reports.
The curriculum, which is designed to be completed in 18 months, is available in a fully online program, and students are required to attend all-day Saturday residences on campus once per month. The course of study is intended to help business professionals move into managerial roles within their organizations, or assume leadership positions at other companies.
Professionals who complete similar programs may gain enough leverage to ask for higher salaries, as the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that masters degree holders may earn over $2,000 more per week than bachelors degree holders.
