MBA programs enable students to explore foreign markets

Over the past few months, the dwindling economy has forced many companies to explore the business potential of other countries. As a result of their research, several of these organizations are now expanding their global presence.

This growth is expected to increase the demand for professionals who are familiar with various foreign markets. International branches of U.S.-based businesses may need project managers, financial analysts and business development managers, according to PayScale.com, a research company.

Many of these jobs will require previous knowledge of certain cultures. Consequently, some campus-based and online MBA programs are giving enrollees the opportunity to explore other countries while they work toward a degree.

For instance, the University of Hawaii offers an executive MBA track on two satellite campuses in Vietnam, the Honolulu Star Advertiser reports. Presently, a total of 131 individuals are enrolled at these schools.

Individuals who choose to pursue a degree from a U.S.-based while they are living in another country may increase their chances of landing a high-paying job with a global company.
