MBA grads find opportunity in 'green-collar' jobs
These days it seems like everyone wants to go green, and MBA programs are no exception. An increasing number of schools are offering the advanced degree with a focus on sustainability.
However, schools aren't just offering these programs for good publicity though, as many experts say opportunities for grads with green degrees are growing fast.
Businessman, Braye Boardman of Georgia, told the Augusta Chronicle that he has seen many management jobs that require a background in sustainability, as the city has increased its investment in green buildings.
"There are definitely more opportunities here now," he told the news source. "The city has become more popular [with employers] because of all our investments."
He added that these buildings require people who know how to manage solar installations and advanced recycling efforts.
A few of the more notable schools incorporating sustainability into their traditional and online MBA programs include Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
