Thursday, Sep 16 2010 6:05PM

Business professionals who want to expand their skills may consider obtaining an MBA degree that allows them to focus on the international aspects of their industry. Fortunately, schools continue to provide more educational options for these individuals.

The University of Virginia (U.Va.) has announced the launch of a program that focuses on business challenges around the world. This new MBA degree for global executives is designed for individuals who would like to gain international experience. Robert F. Bruner, dean of U.Va.'s school of business, says "participants will acquire essential knowledge and master the disciplines of business" by being "effective in diverse cultures."

Professionals who are enrolled into this program will travel to countries including China and India to earn credits toward their degree. The school also allows companies to sponsor interested employees so they do not fall behind on their current career responsibilities.

Similar MBA degree programs may benefit students who wish to land various positions, including financial manager. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that there will be 41,200 new jobs for these individuals over the next eight years.
