Master's degree holders may have increased job prospects

Adults who wish to boost their potential earnings and increase job prospects may want to consider enrolling in an online master's degree program. According to PayScale.com, a research company, median salaries for holders of master's degrees, range from $50,000 to $80,000 a year, depending on the years of experience.

In order to provide more learners with access to higher education, CollegeAmerica has announced that its students can enroll in online master's degree programs through its affiliate school Stevens-Henager College, Salt Lake City/Murray. The schools have created a fast-track schedule, which allows students to complete their graduate degree in as few as 15 months.

Currently, Stevens-Henager College offers four master's degree programs, which include healthcare administration, nursing administration and nursing education. The healthcare degree program was created for professionals in the industry who wish to advance to management positions. The nursing degree options are designed to build on the clinical experience and theoretical knowledge of registered nurses (RNs). The nursing administration degree is aimed at teaching RNs managerial skills, and the master’s in nursing education is designed to train RNs to become educators.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that master's degree holders have lower rates of unemployment and higher potential earnings than individuals with less education.
