Marylhurst University to launch MBA program in sustainable business
Authorities at Marylhurst University, a regionally accredited and nationally recognized online education provider, have announced that the school has added a master of business administration degree program with a specialization in sustainable business.
Students who enroll in the new MBA program, which is expected to be launched later this summer, will have the opportunity to specialize in either renewable energy or green development, according to the Daily Journal of Commerce.
The curriculum will consist of 12 courses, which can each be completed in as few as five weeks. Marylhurst spokeswoman Clarin Cromwell told the news source that enrolled students will only be required to attend one on-campus evening class per week, and can complete their degree in as little as 18 months.
Although coursework will focus on sustainability issues, students will also have the opportunity to take classes in finance, marketing and other staples of more generic MBA programs.
According to the 2009 Sloan Survey, approximately 4.6 million students were enrolled in at least one online course in the fall of 2008, according to the 2009 Sloan Survey.
