Glion Institute of Higher Education offers new online MBA

In an industry that, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, is growing faster than average, the Glion Institute of Higher Education now offers a new online MBA in international hospitality management for its students. The degree is for someone who has already been working in the industry for several years, but would like to advance their career.

Martin Senior, program leader for the new degree says, "in the past people could move up the career ladder on experience along, nowadays we are seeing that employers are also asking for a high-level of education from working professionals to climb the career ladder." According to the BLS, companies in this industry tend to prefer someone who has an MBA degree over someone who does not.

The MBA in international hospitality management that the Glion Insititute of Higher Education offers can be achieved and completed through online courses, which creates an easier opportunity for someone already in the industry that still needs to work but would like move forward in the workplace by obtaining a degree.

Online education for an MBA degree is growing. SloanConsortium.org reports that the number of students enrolled into online MBA courses nearly doubled in 2009 from the previous year.
