Experts: International business experience could lead to high-paying careers

As increasingly more corporations expand their businesses overseas, market analysts are suggesting that job candidates with international experience may see improved career prospects.

CNN reports that China is continuing to grow as an international superpower and is very close to replacing Japan as the world's second-largest economy. As a result, individuals who are familiar with business and cultural practices in the country could become valuable assets to companies that are looking to build their influence.

However, finding a job at a Chinese company is proving increasingly difficult, particularly for individuals who do not speak the language. As a result, jobseekers may want to consider looking for a position at China-based branches of American companies or living in the country while they work toward an online MBA.

Patrick Moreton, managing director of the executive MBA program at Washington University at St. Louis's Olin School of Business, told the news source that "knowing how to do business [in China], being connected to the business community and knowing how to solve its problems are very good skills to have."

Holders of MBA degrees typically earned between $73,510 and $171,583 in 2008, according to Payscale.com, a research company.
