Business school officials meet to improve international MBA programs

As the demand for advanced education in business continues to increase, many campus-based and online colleges are looking for ways to improve their offerings in order to meet the needs of their growing students populations.

In an effort to help these institutions stay abreast of emerging trends in business education, the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants (AIGAC) recently held its third annual international members conference.

The event, which was held on the campuses of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, attracted 50 percent more attendees than last year's conference. The audience consisted primarily of graduate admissions consultants from schools such as Dartmouth College, Yale University, New York University, the University of Michigan and Columbia University.

At the three-day workshop, members of the organizations were able to hear panel discussions on subjects such as career planning during the economic downturn and the impact of emotional intelligence in the admissions process.

Furthermore, the event provided a platform for business school admissions professionals to network with one another and exchange best practices that could help them improve their current systems.
