An MBA degree could earn students high salaries in a demanding field
Experts indicate that while the economy is still turbulent, students who obtain a master's degree in business may be more likely to lead successful careers. This could be due in part to the fact that there are multiple positions for which these individuals can qualify.
For example, students who pursue an MBA degree could become senior financial analysts and controllers or marketing directors and managers as well as chief executive officers, according to Payscale.com. In order to meet the demand for workers, schools provide several options on which business enrollees can focus their area of study. This may include human resources, information technology or supply chain logistics.
An MBA may also appeal to students who would like to earn a high salary. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that individuals who obtain this degree make $500 more each week than those who have not attained an advanced education.
Jobs for individuals who have obtained an MBA are also continuing to increase. Positions for financial analysts will increase by 20 percent over the next eight years, resulting in more than 49,000 new positions, according to the BLS. These professionals could potentially earn $141,000 per year.
