University launches online bachelor's degree in health communications
Adults who wish to earn a degree, but are unsure of which field they would like to study, may want to consider the healthcare industry. Graduates of degree programs in this field have many job opportunities, as the healthcare industry is rapidly expanding.
In an effort to assist working adults who wish to earn a degree in this field, Ashford University is introducing an online bachelor's degree in health marketing and communication. This online program is designed to benefit nontraditional students who wish to work as communications specialists, healthcare assistant account managers, advertising assistants, social media wellness promotion specialists, health and wellness advocates, healthcare public relations specialists or physician relations representatives.
"Whether it's communicating about a specific health service or the improvement of health awareness in general, this degree provides people with the skills and tools to create, and deliver customer and client-centered health information and interventions to protect and promote the health and wellness of diverse populations," said Alice Vestergaard, health, human services and science program director for Ashford University.
The degree program combines curriculum in several fields, including health and wellness, public health, journalism, marketing and advertising.
