University graduates have 100 percent pass rate on nursing exam
Adults who wish to launch a career in the healthcare industry may want to consider entering the field of nursing. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), overall employment of nurses is expected to increase by 22 percent over the next eight years. These professionals must pass the national nursing licensing exam (NCLEX-RN) in order to become registered nurses (RNs).
Schools such as Chamberlain College of Nursing boast a 100 percent first time pass rate on the NCLEX-RN. The college recently celebrated the graduation of 300 RN and bachelor's of nursing (BSN) students.
"We're honored to have watched these graduates grow as highly competent skilled nurses through their education at Chamberlain," said Dr Kim LaMar, dean of Chamberlain College of Nursing's Phoenix campus.
The school also offers an RN-to-BSN program for those who already have certification and which to continue their education. Chamberlain has a master's of nursing program as well, which prepares nurses to become educators or executives.
The BLS reports that top nurses in their field earned $92,240 during 2008.
