Psychology school offers online doctoral degree
The healthcare industry is expected to create millions of new jobs over the next several years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These jobs may be available in all areas of the industry, including nursing, medical billing and general care.
Institutions such as The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) are creating new and improved academic programs in order to meet the growing demand for trained professionals in this field. The school recently announced that its online international psychology doctoral degree program will also be available on campus.
The program offers concentrations in organizations and systems, as well as trauma services. Graduates of the organizations and systems concentration program may be prepared to design, evaluate and lead international programs for corporations, faith-based organizations, and governmental agencies. The trauma services concentration was designed to benefit educators, healthcare workers and mental health professionals who are involved with populations that are affected by natural disasters and other trauma.
"We are looking at a new kind of professional who is uniquely qualified to apply psychological principles to address the challenges of an increasingly interconnected, diverse and rapidly changing world," said Amanda Kim, lead faculty for the international psychology PhD program.
