Brandman University establishes new school of nursing
Brandman University, a fully accredited provider of on-campus and online degree programs, has recently announced the launch of its School of Nursing and Health Professions, which is designed to provide career advancement opportunities to working nurses.
The new school, which is part of the Chapman University System, will offer several new degree programs for licensed nurses, including a bachelor of science in nursing, a master of science in health administration and a master of science in health risk and crisis communication.
The coursework for each degree offering will combine on-site clinical practice with online lectures, demonstrations, exercises and social networking opportunities.
"We've created a substantially different advanced nursing practice school and attracted the nation's leading educators to develop our nursing curriculum," said Brandman University chancellor Gary Brahm. "Brandman's flexible schedules for working adults and high graduation rates are key benefits for nursing degree candidates."
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, registered nurses constitute the largest healthcare occupation with approximately 2.5 million jobs.
RNs are projected to see nearly 587,000 new jobs created in their field over a ten year period, making it one of the fastest growing occupations in the U.S.
