Texas business students can use scholarships to pay for online courses
Texas students who wish to earn campus-based or online degrees in business may want to consider applying to scholarships, such as those that are available through the Texas Business Hall of Fame.
The organization has opened the application process for its annual awards, which are worth $10,000 each.
To qualify for the financial aid, students are required to exhibit a strong moral character and an entrepreneurial spirit. Applicants should also show a great deal of academic achievement, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be U.S. citizens.
Eligible students can compete for the awards by submitting an application form on the organization's website. In addition to the completed form, candidates should turn in a one-page personal statement and a letter of nomination from their school's dean.
In addition to tuition assistance, the beneficiaries will be able to attend an annual awards dinner and guest lectures, where they may have the opportunity to network with some of Texas's most prominent and successful business professionals. Winners should also be available for interviews.
February 26 is the deadline to apply for this year's awards.
