Students who plan to enroll in campus-based or online degree programs may receive financial assistance through scholarship programs, such as the one that is available through the J.M. Smucker Company.

For the 8th year, the condiment manufacturer has announced it will give scholarships through its Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest.

Secondary students may apply for the contest by creating an original sandwich using peanut butter.

Each entry will be evaluated based on creativity, nutritional balance, taste, appearance and ease of preparation.

After the initial judging round, a total of 10 finalists are selected to put their creations to a public online vote. Individuals who visit the company's website will be asked to rank the entries based on the same criteria used in the first round.

The top five sandwich makers will be invited to a live judging event, which will take place in March in New York City.

The grand prize winner will receive a $25,000 scholarship to help them pay for tuition at the institution of their choice. The four runners-up will be given awards worth $2,500 each.
