Partnership aims to help students pay for college
Scholarship America, an educational support service organization, and Zinch.com have announced they are joining forces to help students and their families navigate through the college admission process.
They plan to combine their resources to provide aspiring college students with access to helpful information on such issues as financial aid and the choice of programs.
"Paying for college and navigating financial aid options can be daunting," says Anne Dwane, President of Zinch.com, an online resource connecting young people with opportunities.
"This collaboration aims to demystify financial aid programs and fundamentally improve access to money for college," she adds.
Already the partnership has allowed the use of Zinch.com by Dollars for Scholars chapters, one of Scholarship America's community-based foundations, in order to match students with local scholarship opportunities.
Zinch.com also plans to include informational articles from Scholarship America in its newsletter and look into other collaborative efforts to improve students' accessibility to degree programs.
Programs like these are designed to ensure that no student should be forced to give up on the dream of higher education because of financial constraints. Therefore, interested candidates are encouraged to explore the opportunities offered by the two organizations, as well as many others across the country, as studies have shown that salaries of those with college degrees consistently surpass the earnings of those without higher education.
