Online university grants scholarship to working adults in the military
Individuals who are working for the U.S. government have several options to go back to school. Online universities can be a convenient option for service men and women who want to continue their education while staying focused on their career.
Many government-run and private institutions offer financial aid to members of the armed forces. For example, the Imagine America Foundations (IAF) Military Award Program (MAP) provides $1,000 education awards to qualified active duty service members and retired veterans of the U.S. military.
The IAF MAP, in conjunction with Grantham University, an online school, recently announced that they have awarded $7,000 in scholarships to winning applicants of the IAF MAP essay contest.
Winners will receive $1,000 toward their tuition at Grantham University.
Each of these recipients has served or is serving in our nations armed forces, and it is an honor to give back to those who have given so much and to continue the universitys tradition of meeting the educational needs of service members and veterans," said Johanna Altland, director of communications and chair of Grantham Universitys IAF Scholarship Committee
Online degree programs allow students to access their coursework at a convenient time and place, without disruption to their life.
