Tuition assistance can come in the forms of scholarships, grants, student loans or federal work study programs. These initiatives are often designed to benefit those who work in or wish to study a certain field.

For example, Capella University is offering tuition discounts to all employees and volunteers of the YWCA - a national not-for-profit membership organization that provides social service, advocacy, education and leadership development - as well as their immediate family members.

The partnership is a result of the YWCA's mission to encourage its staff members to pursue advanced career opportunities. Company affiliates can receive discounts on any of Capella's online degree programs.

"The YWCA is excited to partner with Capella University," said Gloria Lau, YWCA CEO. "The YWCA firmly believes in the power of education. We are pleased to be able to offer our staff, volunteers and their families new educational opportunities that can help them advance professionally and grow personally."

Established in the U.S. in 1858, the YWCA is the oldest and largest national women's organization.
