Online degree candidates studying entrepreneurship can win scholarships

Budding entrepreneurs who wish to enhance their skill sets through online courses in business may be able to receive financial assistance to help them pay for their education.

GlobalHue, a minority-owned marketing and communications agency, has opened the application process for its Coleman Entrepreneurial Scholarship program.

For the second year, the company will disburse the awards to students of diverse backgrounds who are majoring or concentrating in entrepreneurship or a related subject.

A maximum of 10 scholarships worth $5,000 each will be given to students who are in their junior or senior year at an accredited college or university.

To be eligible for the awards, applicants must be Hispanic or African American students who are pursuing degrees through a four-year program.

The program is intended to inspire minority students to pursue higher education and encourage them to study entrepreneurship.

Individuals who wish to start their own small businesses may benefit from the offerings of online education, as they can allow degree candidates to complete their coursework on their own time.
