Online degree candidates can win scholarships from Florida Realtors
Florida residents who are enrolled or planning to enroll in online colleges may be able to receive scholarships from the Florida Association of Realtors Education Foundation.
The newly created charitable branch of Florida Realtors has announced it will award financial aid to students who are pursuing two- and four-year degrees in a field that is related to real estate. Children of real estate agents are also eligible to apply.
Current and prospective students in undergraduate and graduate degree programs may compete for the awards by submitting an application form on the organization's website before the program's March 15 deadline.
The association's board of directors will select the winners based on their academic achievement, financial need, connection to the organization as well as their contributions to their family, school and community.
Scholarships for two-year programs will be worth $2,000 per winner, while four-year degree candidates may be able to receive up to $4,000 each.
Students who are planning to become real estate agents may want to consider enrolling in online degree programs, which could allow them to schedule time to take licensing exams.
