Members of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma who are considering enrolling in campus-based or online colleges may find financial aid opportunities through a new website.

In collaboration with Reference Service Press, the nation has announced plans to launch a new website that will link students and their parents to scholarships that can help them pay for tuition.

Individuals who join the group's Scholarship Advisement Program will gain access to the Choctaw Scholarship Database, which will provide listings of scholarship opportunities.

Many of the scholarships listed will be exclusive to the site, as a team of research librarians has been put together to find the awards.

Students who use the database will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will match them with 50 to 100 opportunities that meet their financial aid requirements.

Gregory E. Pyle, chief of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, said all of the awards will be available to "college-bound students, graduate students and their parents."

Current and prospective college students may use similar tools to find financial aid options that can help them pay for tuition at classroom-based or online universities.
