In an effort to help budding business professionals break down the financial barriers that may be standing between them and higher education, Western Governors University has created a new scholarship program.

The Future Business Leaders Scholarship will benefits students who are currently working and who have earned at least 60 college credits. The online school has committed to give out as many as 20 awards, which will be worth $3,000 each.

In addition to previous college and work experience, applicants are required to have an average GPA of 3.2 or higher. Qualified students can apply for the financial aid packages by submitting letters of recommendation and a personal statement.

The winners will be able to use their scholarships to cover the cost of tuition in a bachelors degree program in business management, information technology management, human resource management, accounting, marketing management or sales and sales management.

A total of $600 will be disbursed to each awardee every six-month term, and the beneficiaries may renew their scholarships for as many as five terms.
