National Society of Hispanic MBAs to offer scholarships for business students
Hispanic students who wish to pursue masters degrees in business may be able to receive financial aid from organizations such as the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA).
The organization has opened the application process for its annual scholarship program, which has disbursed nearly $4 million in financial assistance over the past five years.
Students of Latin descent are eligible to apply for the awards, which are worth between $2,500 and $10,000 each. Candidates must also be enrolled full-time in an MBA or related program at an accredited campus-based or online college and have demonstrable financial need.
Steve Ramos, interim CEO of NSHMBA, said that the awards are intended to help students "embark on their educational journey with nothing but confidence and support that they will succeed."
April 30 is the deadline for qualified students to submit their applications. A total of five winners will be selected to receive the top awards based on academic achievement, work experience, financial need, personal statements of goals and aspirations, community service, letters of recommendation and NSHMBA ambassadorship.
