A total of four high school seniors who are graduating from a New Jersey high school recently received financial aid packages from a local small business owner.

Brian McIntyre, founder and president of the Maryland-based human resources technology firm WorkStrategy, recently announced the winners of his George F. and Joan D. McIntyre Scholarship Fund, which awarded $5,000 each to exceptional students from his alma mater, Collingswood High School.

The scholarship fund was created 10 years and is named in honor of McIntyre's parents, who were involved in educational programs and local charities in the Collingswood community during their lives. Since the program's inception, McIntyre has disbursed a total of $260,000 to help 52 students cover the cost of a campus-based or online college degree program.

"This scholarship program is very important to our family," McIntyre said at the high school's award ceremony last week.

"These four young people have a bright future ahead of them and we are proud to be able to assist with the high costs of college education," he added.
