Graphic design students at online universities can win scholarships

Individuals who plan to pursue a campus-based or online degree in graphic design may be able to win scholarships, such as those that are available through the Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts.

The nationwide education system and nonprofit organization have opened the application process for their annual Poster Design Contest, which will benefit high school seniors who wish to study graphic design.

To enter the contest, qualified students are required to create original posters that promote the theme - Life is Better With Art In It.

Each of the school's participating branches will select two entrants to receive scholarships to cover the full cost of tuition at a college in the Art Institute system. Each first-place winner will receive a $3,000 award, and the second place awardees will receive $2,000 in financial aid.

These recipients may be invited to the national competition, where they could receive additional funding.

Budding graphic designers may want to consider pursuing similar opportunities that can help them pay for online courses that could enable them to enhance their technical skills while they work toward a degree.
