Computer science students at online universities can earn scholarships
Students who are enrolled in online degree programs in computer science may want to consider financial aid opportunities, such as those that are available through Brain Track.
The higher education organization has announced the availability of two scholarships for students who wish to launch careers in computer programming or a related field.
Awards worth $1,000 and $500 are disbursed to individuals who are pursuing degrees at accredited campus-based or online colleges within the U.S. Both part-time and full-time students who have completed at least one semester of coursework are eligible to apply.
To enter, qualified candidates are required to submit an essay that is intended to inspire other students to work toward a career in computer science. The winners' essays will be published on the organization's website.
The awards are available for both the fall and spring semesters, for which the application deadlines are March 1 and November 1, respectively.
Computer science professionals who choose to further their education through online courses may increase their chances of receiving financial assistance through similar scholarship programs.
