AVerMedia could help students, teachers take advantage of online education
AVerMedia, an educational technology company, has kicked off the third year of its AVerVision Scholarship program to benefit students enrolling in on-campus or online universities and the teachers who support them.
The company will award one graduating high school senior who wishes to utilize their education to make a difference in their communities a $5,000 scholarship. In addition, two educators aiding the winner in the application will receive AVerVision's Interactive Document Cameras to enhance their classrooms.
Applicants must be planning to enroll in a four-year degree program and submit an application, professional resume, two letters of recommendations from current or former teachers as well as a one-page essay describing the changes each student has seen in classroom technology and how it has impacted their education.
The company created the scholarship program two years ago to promote the advancement of technology in education and promote students and teachers whose experiences have been affected by such innovation.
Eligible students may apply for the scholarship through March 26, 2010. The winner will be announced on May 17, 2010, and the company will distribute the award over four years pending the beneficiary's enrollment in a four-year on-campus or online degree program.
