University of New England unveils new website for online masters degree program

Authorities with the University of New England (UNE) have announced the launch of a new website for the school's online masters degree in social work (MSW).

The website is designed to offer prospective students an interactive look into what it would be like to pursue an advanced social work degree through an online platform. Students enrolled in the program can also utilize the website to explore career opportunities that are available in the field.

"Most health and clinical positions require a MSW degree but many students with basic social work degrees are reluctant to leave their current positions to pursue an advanced degree," said Martha Wilson, director of the School of Social Work at UNE.

"Earning an advanced online degree…can open up many rewarding employment opportunities," she added.

The university's masters degree program offers applicants a traditional track, which is designed for students who have a bachelors degree in another field, and an advanced standing track, which allows students who have a degree in social work or professional experience in the field to graduate from the program in a shorter period of time.
