University launches online masters degree in educational leadership

Langston University's School of Education and Behavioral Sciences has recently announced the addition of an online masters degree in educational leadership, the first of its kind in the state of Oklahoma.

The program is designed for working educators who are looking to become school administrators. The twelve credit offering will feature a case-study-based curriculum and will begin on April 21. The next session's application deadline is March 19.

"I am extremely optimistic about the possibilities of this program, and foresee it as a wonderful tool in the arsenal of any educator looking to transition from the classroom to the boardroom," said Alex Lewis, director of graduate programs at Langston University in Oklahoma City.

"This program, and its curriculum, is grounded in nearly 20 years of research, and I feel confident that every student who comes through this program will be equipped to thrive as an educational leader," he added.

Online universities may be particularly attractive to adults who would like to acquire new skills but do not have the time to do so in a conventional setting.
