University adds online masters degree in engineering field

Drexel University, an accredited online education provider, has recently announced that it has added an online master of science degree in engineering technology from Drexel's Goodwin College.

The program will focus primarily on product development and improvement, industrial practices and engineering technology operation functions. Students will have the opportunity to choose a specific technical specialty to be the focal point of their degree.

"We're very proud to offer our students the outstanding Drexel curriculum within this convenient online format," said Kenneth Hartman, academic director for Drexel University Online. "All of our online programs, including our masters in engineering technology are taught by the same faculty as our on-campus courses."

The engineering technology degree may help students obtain employment in the fields of green manufacturing, energy conversion technology, quality control as well as computer applications and networking.

Online universities that offer degree programs may be attractive to busy adults who would like to acquire new skills but do not have the time to do it in a traditional setting.
