Report outlines post-recession job market
Working adults who are planning a career change may want to read the new report that predicts which jobs will be most in demand once the recession is over.
The Employment Dynamics and Growth Expectations Report - released by Robert Half International, a specialized staffing firm, and CareerBuilder - has found that over half of employers expect to hire full-time employees over the next 12 months, while 40 percent will hire contract, temporary or project professionals and 39 percent will add part-time workers.
In addition to that, workers with skills in technology, customer service and sales will be in the highest demand for the next several years.
"Firms that cut staffing levels too deeply may need to do significant rebuilding once the recovery takes hold," says Max Messmer, chairman and CEO of Robert Half International, adding firms are already reviewing the skill sets they will need when the economy improves.
Those who would like to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the post-recession job market may enroll in an online degree program to obtain a business, computer science or an engineering degree.
Adults have typically benefitted most from online education, which is a cost-effective and flexible option, ideal for those balancing various responsibilities.
