Online university to offer specialization options to graduate-level students

Due to a regional demand for more graduate school courses, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, a provider of on-campus and online degree programs, has recently announced that it will offer more than 30 graduate-level specialization options in the upcoming semester.

Areas of specialization allow graduate students to customize their interests, career objectives or professional advancement needs. Harrisburg University students will be able to enter into specific fields of interest that are applicable to one of three masters degree programs: information systems engineering and management, IT project management and learning technologies.

Specialization options for those programs include adaptive technology, eGovernment and public administration, telecommunications and wireless communications as well as many others. These options, which usually consist of 3 to 4 courses, can be pursued online or as part of a hybrid program.

Today, nearly 4 million students are taking online courses and earning online college degrees. At the secondary school level, more than 700,000 high school students are taking one or more courses online and nearly 40 states have established state-led virtual schools.
