Online college rolls out nine new certificate programs

Bryant and Stratton College, an online education institution, has recently announced the launch of nine new certificate programs.

These programs, which can be completed online in as few as nine months, will prepare students for careers in the fields of healthcare, business, human resources and criminal justice. Beginning on March 3, students can enroll in courses such as accounting, healthcare management as well as medical reimbursement and coding.

Moreover, students who earn their certificate can put the course credits toward a corresponding bachelors degree program.

"Jobs that only require a high school diploma are disappearing, so to compete for positions in this modern economy, everyone needs to make sure they have up-to-date skills," said Scott Traylor, director of admissions for online education.

"These new online certificate programs offer students an opportunity to quickly gain the training necessary to qualify for positions in some of the fastest growing fields," he added.

Online education has been hailed as a cheaper and more flexible instruction option that allows adult learners such as busy parents or working professionals to earn a degree without interrupting their lives.
