Kaplan University rolls out new online degree programs

Today, Kaplan University announced the creation of six new online degree programs that will be added to the curriculum in 2010.

Starting this semester, the school will begin offering a master and bachelor of science in public health as well as a master and bachelor of science in healthcare administration. The university will also be adding a bachelors degree in political science and a masters degree in psychology.

"Kaplan University is committed to providing its students with a personalized, student-centered education that is delivered through an innovative and interactive online platform," said university provost David Clinefelter.

"Our goal is to help students enter new careers or take their current careers to the next level," he added.

The graduate degree in psychology will prepare graduates for careers with mental health, social services and healthcare organizations. Students can major in general psychology, applied behavioral analysis or addiction psychology.

Online education can be a flexible option for people who are looking to earn their degree but find it difficult to attend traditional on-campus classes.
