During a recent ceremony, Ezell Brown, chairman of Education Online Services Corporation, received the 2009 Steward Wiley/Wesley John Gaines President's Leadership Award from Morris Brown College for his work to promote and enhance the value of online education.

The President's Leadership Award honors those who have provided exemplary leadership and demonstrated innovative ways to improve their organizations, community or environment as well as inspired others to reach their full potential.

Brown founded Education Online Services Corporation with the help of America's top academic and marketing professionals to help colleges and universities maximize online higher education.

Together with his wife, he also set up the Ezell Brown Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free access to online high school education and college preparatory programs for individuals desiring to complete their high school diplomas.

"It has always been [our] vision to inspire, motivate and support the educational advancement and leadership potential of our nation's young people and encouraging others to become our next generation of leaders," says Brown.

It is widely believed that online education offers a cost-effective and flexible way to obtain a college degree for busy adults interested in switching careers. There are numerous institutions around the country offering online degrees and online courses that can help them reach that goal.
