Universities that provide online degree programs often offer more convenient learning opportunities than traditional campus-based schools. Many online masters degree and bachelors programs allow students the flexibility to create their own schedules, which can be at a faster or slower pace than traditional four-year schools.

For example, Tacoma Community College (TCC) and Brandman University recently announced a partnership that will give students the option to earn a bachelors degree in three years, the Tacoma Daily Index reports. Through the TCC/Brandman Virtual Transfer Program, students who complete an associates degree at TCC will be automatically qualified for admission into a Brandman online bachelors degree program.

Students who are enrolled in the Transfer Program will have the benefit of accessing the academic and student services offered by TCC and Brandman.

According to U.S. News and World Report, the educational qualifications that are necessary to advance in a current field or transition into a new career may require an associates or bachelors degree. Most of these requirements can be completed online.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that individuals who hold a bachelors degree or higher can earn more than twice as much annually than adults who have only a high school diploma.
