In an effort to provide its student population with more flexible educational opportunities, the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) announced today that it has signed an articulation agreement with Colorado Technical University (CTU), an accredited provider of online degree programs.

Through the partnership, graduates of select CCCS associates degree programs can transfer their credits to corresponding CTU bachelors degree programs. Students who transfer their 90 credit hours will be classified as juniors after enrolling in one of the university's online programs.

"Our classes and programs are designed to help students begin their academic career, cultivate a special interest, or acquire training to advance in their jobs," said Nancy McCallin, CCCS president.

"This collaboration with CTU is another way our current and prospective students can take the next step in their education and career path," she added.

Community college students who enroll in one of the online university's bachelors degree programs will be eligible for a 30 percent tuition grant for their junior year and a 20 percent discount for their senior year.
