Briarcliffe College receives approval for new online degree program

Officials with Briarcliffe College have recently announced that the school has been approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education to offer an online associate of applied science degree in business administration.

The new degree offering, which had earlier received approval from The New York State Education Department's Office of Higher Education, is scheduled to be launched by the college later this spring. Briarcliffe will also be rolling out its new online bachelors degree in business administration program during the same period.

"By offering courses online, we are able to create a more flexible schedule for all those wishing to enroll - including students who work full time and find it difficult to reach our campuses to suit their schedules, as well as working adults who might be exploring career choices," said George Santiago, president of Briarcliffe College.

Allen Zilbert, the school's director of academic technology, added that both online degree options will have the same requirements and will be taught by the same faculty as their on-campus equivalents.
