University unveils new online MBA program
Officials from Anderson University have announced the school is now offering an online degree program for students interested in studying businesses.
The program is designed for working professionals and will debut online in January 2010, allowing individuals to earn their MBAs in 20 months, according to the Index-Journal, a local news source in South Carolina.
"Although our on-campus MBA program is convenient for those who live close enough to come to our campus, the online option expands the opportunity to take advantage of a truly unique, high quality MBA to the rest of the country," said Douglas Goodwin, MBA director and associate dean of the College of Business, quoted by the news provider.
He added that the program is also convenient for professionals whose job commitments make it impossible for them to attend on-campus courses.
Online education is a cost-effective and convenient option for those interested in pursuing a career in business. According to PayScale.com, a research company, average salaries for holders of MBA degrees ranged from $73,510 to $171,583 in 2008, depending on the field, position and years of experience.
