SF college introduces online courses in web analytics and social media

Those interested in pursuing an online degree in marketing may be interested to learn that the University of San Francisco (USF) has added two new advanced specialized certificates to its core internet marketing master certificate program.

Advanced web analytics and advanced social media will be the focus of the new online courses which will allow students to explore key digital marketing disciplines, providing them with enhanced skills and broader knowledge.

"The industry places a tremendous emphasis on web analytics because it enables organizations to quantify the success of their internet marketing efforts," says USF online faculty member and web analytics expert Joe Laratro.

However, he adds that "even the best data is meaningless without properly trained staff to interpret it."

Marketing and advertising are among fast-growing careers of the future, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates demand for professionals in the field of marketing will grow by 12 percent in the next several years, while their median annual earnings already exceed $98,720.

Adults planning to pursue a new career, may consider enrolling in a flexible online bachelors program in marketing or advertising which are available at institutions around the country.
