TUI University has unveiled an alliance with McDonald's Hamburger University that will allow students to transfer course credits toward a fully accredited online bachelors program in business administration.

The school also announced that students and alumni of Hamburger University that take advantage of this partnership will be eligible for a tuition reduction for the bachelors and masters versions of the TUI program.

"Our relationship with McDonald's Hamburger University will allow us to offer the opportunity for educational advancement to hard-working McDonald's employees," said Kenneth Sobaski, president of TUI University.

He further sought to stress that the school's offering is flexible, affordable and may appeal to working adults as a way to help them achieve their career goals.

The partnership expands the options available to those interested in boosting their credentials through an online business degree.

According to estimates from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, salary prospects for individuals with business qualifications are encouraging as the median annual earnings for general managers in May 2006 were $85,230. The middle 50 percent earned between $58,230 and $128,580.
