Baylor's business school receives top ranking in entrepreneurship education

Entrepreneur magazine has ranked Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business number four in the nation for undergraduate entrepreneurship education, beating schools such as the University of Southern California, Northeastern and Temple.

The criteria for the ranking, which reveals the top 25 undergraduate and graduate programs in the field, consisted of academics and requirements, students and faculty as well as outside-the-classroom experiences.

Babson College, the University of Houston and the University of Arizona came in first, second and third, respectively.

"While each program is unique, their inclusion in this ranking solidifies their place in an elite category of institutions offering a superlative level of education and preparedness the will play a key role in ensuring the success of tomorrow's entrepreneurs," says Amy Cosper, the magazine's vice president and editor-in-chief.

Online universities or schools that offer online degree programs may be particularly attractive to busy adults who would like to acquire new skills but do not have the time to do it in a traditional setting.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, median salaries of business managers exceed $85,230.
